Foundations of Data Science (Math 237)
This course introduced the foundations of data science through hands-on work with real datasets. We learned how to collect, clean, and visualize data; build introductory statistical models; make predictions; and communicate results using reproducible coding practices.
Projects
SoCal Rent Project
In this project, I analyzed rental prices across several Southern California counties to understand how factors like square footage, number of bedrooms/bathrooms, and regional differences influence price.

Encelia Flower Project
For this project, I collected data from the Fullerton Arboretum on two native California species—Encelia californica and Encelia farinosa. I performed exploratory analysis and built simple linear regression models to compare characteristics between the two species.
